ETV, MTC, Industrial Ambulance |
Trauma Care's main contract vehicle is a 1994 Ford F-150 XL. The specs of the truck are a 5.0 litre EFI V-8 engine, automatic transmission, dual fuel tanks, and electronic hubs changing between 2 and 4-wheel drive. The rest of the truck comprises of two doors, with bucket seats in the front, and a bench in the back. Inside the seven foot box of the truck is an internally and externally lighted camper-style Mobile Treatment Centre (MTC) which also fills the role of an Emergency Transport Vehicle (ETV) as it has a spineboard, basket stretcher, and seatbelts. It is also designed so it may fill the role of an Industrial Ambulance as is can secure more than one person. The box is big enough to fit the camper and still being able to close the tailgate, with leaving room behind the wheel wells for storage of equipment. |

Trauma Care's secondary contract vehicle is a 1997 GMC Safari SLX Van. This is no minivan, if a company has ever had one of these vans before, they will continue purchasing them. The automatic 4.3 litre Vortec V-6 engine goes most places work trucks cannot due to its low rev all wheel drive (AWD) transmission. There are two bucketseats in the front, and one behind the passenger with a sliding side door. There's a toolbox first aid kit behind that seat which holds far in excess of WorkSafe BC's required supplies. The floor is one solid sheet of plexiglass which allows equipment and the wheeled stretcher to move easily. The stretcher is clamped into place easliy from the back with the double-dutch doors open. This vehicle is an Emergency Transport Vehicle and can be used as a Mobile Treatment Centre. |

Cost for the ETV’s, MTC’s, and Ambulance’s are negotiable as to the type and length of the job, as well as what supplies are needed in it. In most cases, there is a flat day rate. |
