Fall Restraint & Fall Arrest
 
Falls account for approximately 15 percent of all lost time injuries and fatalities in British Columbia workplaces. Falls not only happen in traditionally hazardous occupations, such as construction work, but can occur in all types of workplaces.

Examination: Written multiple choice exam 75% needed to pass

In this course students will learn:
 
- The different categories of falls.
- Evaluating the risks in the workplace that could cause a fall.
- Control measures to reduce the risk of a fall occurring.
- Proper use of fall protection equipment and following work procedures.
- Understanding fall forces, arresting forces, clearances and swing falls.
- Performing equipment maintenance and inspection.
- Following emergency procedures.
