Oxygen Supplement
 
This course focuses on the administration of oxygen and the use of various delivery devices so that a person with Level 1 ( or equivilance ) can safely use oxygen for First Aid in the workplace.
 
 
Prerequisites: WorkSafeBC OFA Level 1 First Aid ( or equivilant )
Course Length: 4 Hours
Course Format: One day
Course Cost: $ 50.00
Cost Includes: Books, Examination
Examination: Written multiple choice
Certificate: Good for 2 years
 
In this course students will learn:
 
- WorkSafeBC OFA Level 1 ( or equivilant ) program review
- The bodys Respiratory and Circulatory Systems
- Identifying patient conditions that would require oxygen administration
- The benifits and cautions of giving Supplemental Oxygen
- The care, usage, and maintenance of oxygen cylinders
- How to calculate flow rates and times
- Oral Airway usage
- Pocket Mask and Bag Valve Mask usage
