Occupational First Aid Level 3 is designed to cover all medical techniques considered to be within the responsibility of the Occupational First Aid Attendant providing emergency care in industry further than 20 minutes from a Hospital. Level 3 First Aid is designed for any industry that has little, no, or delayed access by Ambulance. |

This is a refresher course for those who have taken the Level 3 enough times that they feel confident in a faster paced course. |

At least 16 years old and possession of a Level 3 certificate that has not been expired for more than 6 months |

In this course students will learn: |

- How to demonstrate the priority action approach (to the end of the primary survey) for conscious and unconscious patients. |
- How to identify and manage critical interventions of the airway with C-spine control for conscious and unconscious patients. |
- How to identify respiratory emergencies and manage critical interventions. |
- How to identify circulatory emergencies and manage critical interventions for conscious patients with a decreased level of consciousness. |
- How to prepare patients for rapid transport in the supine and lateral positions. |
- How to conduct the secondary component of the priority action approach for patients in the rapid transport category and patients in the first aid room. |
- How to assess, manage and identify medical referral for soft tissue injuries. |
- How to identify and manage head, brain, and spinal injuries for conscious patients with a decreased level of consciousness. |
